One thing that made her funeral really special was that all but two of her grandchildren were in attendance. We've never had so many of us together in a picture before. I sang "Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing" accompanied by my extremely talented cousin, Taylor. He basically created a beautiful arrangement of the piece on the spot, and could play it in any key. Wow.
My Aunt Karen was responsible for creating a beautiful flower arrangement that was sewing-themed. I wish I had a picture. It had my grandma's sewing scissors, thread, and measuring tape in it. She was a renowned seamstress. I think Grandma Joyce would really have liked the gathering and the service yesterday.

Sounds like a really neat tribute to your grandma. My grandma is going to be 91 this month and I think we're all going to be shocked when she does die.
I'm sorry for your loss. It's never easy to say good-bye. It sounds like your Grandmother had a beautiful service. Her flowers sound beautiful with all of her sewing things mixed in there with it. What a wonderful tribute to her.
"Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing" is one of my absolute favorites. I'd love to hear you sing it sometime. I used to play it on my piano and attempt to sing it, but I wasn't exactly blessed with the best singing voice. ; )
Technically we are missing 3 cousins. Keri's youngest daughter isn't in the picture even though she was there.
